Color the World with a Pulsera Sale and Win $1,000 in Free Teaching Resources Plus a Trip to Guatemala

Vista Higher Learning and the Pulsera Project have teamed up this past year to encourage teachers around the country to host pulsera sales at their schools, connecting Central American artisans with students in U.S. schools through the sale of colorful handwoven bracelets or pulseras. Pulsera sales bring art and cultural education to schools, while employing Guatemalan and Nicaraguan artisans and investing proceeds to create lasting change in their communities.

We are proud to announce the winners of our 2023-2024 contest!

  • Amy Bonnici, a Spanish teacher at The Wheeler School in Providence, Rhode Island
  • Lisa Plichta, a Spanish teacher at Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Illinois

Both Amy and Lisa have won an all-expense-paid trip to Central America this summer to meet the artisans, as well as $1000 in free instructional materials from Vista.

See for yourself the impact the pulsera fundraisers have had on the students in Amy and Lisa’s classrooms.
