As we continue to make our platform more reliable, easy to use, accessible, and up to date, we’re introducing enhancements to the Instructor Dashboard and Activity & Assessment Libraries to streamline workflows and improve the teaching experience. These changes will be live this summer, on June 29, 2026. Read below to learn more!
Instructor Dashboard: clearer visibility into class progress and student activity
- A more intuitive experience for teachers: clearer labels and program information, plus guided steps for creating classes, sections, and assignments—while core workflows like grading and assigning remain unchanged.
- Greater visibility into high-priority tasks, including viewing grades, assigning work and grading
- Help requests appear if action is needed from teacher
- A collapsable menu options and archived classes are easily accessible at the bottom of the classes menu
Activity & Assessment Libraries
- A cleaner, more modern interface with actions organized under a convenient three-dot “more options” menu and key activity details now shown when you click an activity (instead of on hover), so assign, create, and view actions are all in one consistent place.
- A consistent and simplified workflow for assigning individual activities or entire strands
- New bulk hide functionality for assigning and hiding activities, giving you more control over pacing and letting you keep certain items hidden, and aligning what students see more closely with your own view.
For Students
- Your students will see a new look too, with a clearer dashboard that highlights what’s due, progress, and what to do next—no changes needed to your existing classes or assignments.
