Mandatos Afirmativos: Nosotros

A NOSOTROS command allows you to suggest that others do activities with you.

It is equivalent to saying “Let’s (do something)” in English.

Always conjugate the verb in first person singular (yo).

1) For –AR Verbs, drop the –O, → Add –EMOS

    AMAR→ (yo) AMO→ AMEMOS (mandato)

 2) For –ER / –IR Verbs, drop the –O, → Add –AMOS

    COMER→ (yo) COMO→ COMAMOS (mandato)

    ABRIR→ (yo) ABRO→ ABRAMOS (mandato)

Verbs have irregular affirmative NOSOTROS commands:

Verbs that require stem-change in present tense usually have the same change in the informal singular command:

Stem Change: O→ U                           Stem Change: Cambia –E → I
