We are very excited to introduce Dos tomatillos, the new Vista Higher Learning online store dedicated to children’s literature in Spanish. On Dos tomatillos, you’ll find wonderful books meticulously selected for Spanish speakers. Our main goal is to help you build a carefully selected library so you can offer your little tomatillo the best of Hispanic culture and language.
Without a doubt, many of the books will become your children’s favorites. Each book will launch them on a wonderful adventure and will spark their love for books in Spanish— books like La princesa del agua by Susan Verde. This story, based on the childhood of Georgie Badiel, will help them understand the importance of water in our lives.
We also have El abuelo de la quena from Sergio Andricaín and Antonio Orlando Rodríguez, part of the collection A lomo de cuento, a unique series of books that encourages our little tomatillos to learn about the fascinating geography and culture of Latin America. These are just a few titles from the extensive selection we have for you.
Many of our books have won important awards like the Newbery Medal, given to Julie y los lobos by Jean Craighead George. From acclaimed author Edna Iturralde, we have Conoce a Simon Bolivar, part of the Personajes del Mundo Hispánico collection. This book has been recognized by the International Latino Book Awards and was part of the 2016–17 Texas Star Reading List. And there are many more like these!
On Dos tomatillos, you can easily browse through categories, find the books you’re looking for, then order and receive them by mail in just a few days. We encourage you to follow @dostomatillos on Facebook and Instagram to find more information about our new releases, authors, and illustrators—and to discover all the surprises we’ve prepared for you and your little tomatillo.
